Could it have been prevented?

 

The Chernobyl disaster could have easily been prevented, especially because it was a test and the operators were poorly trained and uninformed. The ironic part of this whole deal was that the accident occured while it was under a test run, which was going to be used to determine how to improve plant safety. 

 

The poorly trained operators were mainly at fault because they didnt really have an idea as to what was going on. For this, they need to have a high knowledge of what to do.
